My Given Name
Roger
Roger is the name my father gave me. I wondered over the years why my father and mother
called me Roger. There are other names they could have given me. Why Roger? It had never
bothered me, until now. I started to wonder how and where my parents got that name and why
they gave me that name. They said I got my name from a cousin from my dad's side of the
family.
My name in English means famed spear or renowned spearman.
The meaning of my name seems to match me; the words "renowned spearman" go with
something deep down in my soul that matches my character. Everyone admires my drawings.
Like a spearman that is good with a hunting spear, I am good with a pencil and pen. Like the
spear and pen that resemble one another, that match my name and I, I grip a pen as if I hold a
spear, ready to impale the target. As I grip the pen, ready to make a work of art, a masterpiece of
beauty, the silent air fills my room just like the smoke on the battlefield, when I draw.
This is what I feel now, knowing what my name means, knowing how I got my name and where
it came from. For the first time I now know that my name is a part of me that I will never forget.

My heart be brave, and do not falter so,
Nor utter more that deep, despairing wail.
Thy way is very dark and drear I know,
But do not let thy strength and courage fail;
For certain as the raven-winged night
Is followed by the bright and blushing morn,
Thy coming morrow will be clear and bright;
'Tis darkest when the night is furthest worn.
Look up, and out, beyond, surrounding clouds,
And do not in thine own gross darkness grope,
Rise up, and casting off thy hind'ring shrouds,
Cling thou to this, and ever inspiring hope:
Tho' thick the battle and tho' fierce the fight,
There is a power making for the right.

A bewildered person might be more likely to blurt something out when they are feeling overwhelmed or confused and feel the need to express themselves in order to alleviate some of their emotional distress.

When might a bewildered person be more likely to blurt something out?

This could happen in situations where they are faced with unexpected news or a difficult decision that they do not feel prepared to handle. For example, if someone receives sudden news of a loved one's illness, they may blurt out their initial reaction without thinking it through.

On the other hand, a bewildered person may remain silent if they are feeling uncertain or unsure of how to react to a situation. Make an argument, why should not be dress codes in school

Answers

Answer:

For a number of reasons, schools shouldn't have dress codes:

1. Contravention of free expression: Dress codes frequently restrict students' capacity to express themselves and their uniqueness. As long as it doesn't interfere with the learning environment, students should be permitted to wear clothing that expresses their personality, culture, or values.

2. Distracts from the educational process: Enforcing clothing regulations can divert the attention of instructors and administrators and detract from the learning process. Also, rather than concentrating on their academic work, students might be more preoccupied with how they appear and whether it is in accordance with the rules.

Reinforces negative gender norms: Students who don't fit into typical gender roles may suffer from dress restrictions that enforce gender-specific clothing requirements. This may produce a hostile environment for students in difficult circumstances. All in all dress codes should not be allowed in school, due to the following reasons mentioned above.

While both sections provide the reader with all the necessary steps, the traditional Southern biscuits section goes a step further by explaining why it is important to work fast and keep the butter cold. This added information helps the reader understand the importance of this step and how it affects the final product.

In contrast, the cinnamon-coconut biscuits section simply instructs the reader to work fast without providing any explanation. Therefore, the traditional Southern biscuits section has a higher completeness rating because it provides more thorough and complete information.
